Vale Royal AC Runners

Here is the news from the NW road relays at Blackpool.:

The first race of the day was the u13 Boys where Elliot Bowker,Matthew Sheen and Tim Morris won the north west championships -a first ever for the clubs boys Warrington were Second.

The u15 girls of Emilla Pettitt,Jade Evans and Tessa Mc Cormick also became North West Champions with Liverpool Harriers in second place

Vale Royals talented athletes then won the North west U17 girls with Hannah Paver from Knutsford in the first leg handing over to Charlotte Mills and Megan Huxley running the fastest time of the day to bring the team home-East Cheshire(Manchester) were second..

The Senior womens team of Nikki Meadows,Kathy Stringer and Rebecca Craigie came third in the North west in a race won by Liverpool but Vale Royal became Cheshire champions.

Also running for Vale Royal in the u13 girls were Ani Sorensen,Clara Pettitt,Jess Parsons,Penny Ehlan,Emily Geaves-Brayne and Lucy Scott -The team took Cheshire silver.

Haden Healey and Duncan Lee ran in the u13 boys team.

The u15 girls also had Louise Towers,Katie Moulds,Jess Lee,Rebecca James,Cyrys Heaher,Hannah Bishop and Jade Lamb running -the Girls also took Cheshire Gold and silver.

The u15 boys of Lewis Healey,Josh Boyce,Ryan Moore,Mike Vennard,Patrick Stradling,Matt Jakeman amd James Iken took Cheshire silver.

Chris Perry,Andrew Clews,Ed Crowther,James Griffiths and Andy Perry took the Cheshire senior mens silver ,finishing just behind Warrington .The north west senior race was won by Salford.
