Day 9 (Sunday 12th July)

We've been blessed with good tailwinds today so have made excellent progress. We've crossed the border into Scotland and are staying just outside Ecclefechan in a nice, reasonably priced B&B.
The route today has been up through Kendal, up Shap (thankful for the tailwind!) then Penrith, Carlisle and over the border to Ecclefechan. A grand total of 83 miles (yet another PB for both of us). A couple of heavy showers on the way but a pretty nice day for cycling.
530 miles now completed!
